Brochure design and product photography for a coiled heat exchanger. I aimed for a tough, sleek look for this product brochure that will be received by a largely male dominant industry.

The look was achieved by using a lot of gray gradients (which complimented the chrome-looking product), limited use of color, and clean photographs.

preggy pickles label

Label design and character illustration for a new brand of pickles. This product is targeted towards pregnant women and may be found at maternity-based stores in the Mid-Michigan area.

Red Ink Re-branding

When Red Ink Studios decided to simplify their name, they came to me with the challenge of revamping their image.

Simple geometric shapes, and a nice play with the placement representing both the "r" and the "i" make this design perfect for Red Ink.

Crim Tear-Card Insert

In October of 2007 the Crim Fitness Foundation contacted me to design this insert targeting potential Chairman's Circle members.

They needed it to stand out while packaged with their annual report, in addition to serving as a sign-up form.

The solution I developed was an oversized card that stuck out from the top of the Annual report until a perforated tear-card was filled out and submitted.

1st Crim Annual Report

In 2007 The Crim Fitness Foundation (formerly known only as the "Crim") publish their first ever annual report. They wanted to push the phrase "More than a race" since they now provide a list of services to the community through the entire year.

My solution for this was to have the user be led through this beautifully printed 20-page full color report by a blue line in the background that repeats "More than a race". For many years, Crm festival of Races used a blue line painted along the side of the road as a guide for the runners.

No matter what page you’re on, you’ll always be pressed with the reminder that a huge progressive change has recently taken place at the Crim.

Deep Well Press

A local printmaker provided a quick sketch of her idea for this logo on a torn piece of scrap paper. I provided her with a few variations and we finally landed on the version you see here.

The "grunge-stamp" , and reverse text styles greatly reflect the printmaking industry. - A perfect application for these elements!

MCC Awards Invite

Two-Sided postcard mailed as an invitation for Mott Community College's Distinguished Alumni & Outstanding Retirees Award Reception, 2007.

As simple as it looks, this one was a bit tricky. The design had to appeal to both young students, and older friends of retiring employees.

Holiday Bazaar, Red ink

Red Ink contacted me with a hot job back in December of '05. I was given the name of the event, date, and location over the phone and turned this back to them in just a few hours.

The postcards hit the presses the next day for printing and distribution, right on time!

Jan Worth, Cards

Of all the cards I've designed in my time, these really have the most original and attractive look.

The backside of these cards are designed for writing quick notes, and to visually represent Jan's regular travels to-and-from San Pedro, CA and Flint, MI.

Sell Sheets, MacArthur

The MacArthur Corporation, a Tier one label supplier to the automotive industry, contacted me to design these sell sheets for use at a sales gathering.

Standard corporate style, but with a twist: macro photo of a modern label, calipers, and ruler. Plus a 180 degree panoramic view of their production floor.
