| websites Got a business? Band? Big idea? Do you need a redesign? I designed my very first website when I was 13 years old and believe me, it wasn't pretty. Since a basic web structure is so easy to set up, your grandmother could call herself a web designer and start getting work. Maybe your Nana has great talent, but in general this is bad news for anyone looking for a decent website because you need more than something that fubctions, It has to look great too. Take a look at what I've been up to: |

red ink flint > go to site Flash was used to add movement, originality, and background music. These three elements, in collection, present a feeling of positive curiosity similar to that of attending a show at Red Ink.

Whats Up Downtown > go to site Re-designed, reorganized, and up-to-date are just a few ways to describe the new What’s Up Downtown website. Their old design lacked any type of structure in addition to some major coding errors. I built their new site around the colors and style of their logo to keep everything consistent. Some features include: Dropdown menus, interactive Flash map of Downtown Flint, and a page where users can check out the status of various projects around town. |

Ruth Mott Foundation > go to site I completed the design for this award winning website back in 2003 while working for local entrepreneur, Matt Zacks. It's entirely database driven, allowing the owners to update pages without having to learn any code. A touch of Flash was used in the header to give the pages some movement. |

Jan Worth, Writer > go to site Jan Worth is a local writer, and lecturer at the University of Michigan, Flint. She came to me with a website in mind that would help promote her book, Night Blind. A second use of the site would be to post her many poems and stories. I actually scanned some torn paper to use as part of header design for Jan's site to give it that "writers draft" feeling. The final design was exactly what Jan had in mind. Today, she gets compliments on her website from people all across the nation! |

Todd Onweller, Artist > go to site Local artist Todd Onweller needed a very simple site to display a few of his current paintings. Additionally, he wanted a quick way for his users to get in touch. My solution was a clean, horizontally scrolling, two-page site, intended to display around five images at once. The colors in the design compliment his paintings, while the textured gray background act as that special "third element" that holds the pieces together. |

Fire At Will Here's a freebee site I designed back in 2005 for a band named Fire at Will. As a punk band, the grunge style truly reflected their sound. This was a simple six-page site spruced up with a music player and eCommerce capabilities. |

Thruhike Design Concept This is a logo and website design concept I worked up for a client that eventually lost interest in the project. I really liked this layout and did not want to see it go to waste. |
